Fall Favorites! Apple Picking

Whether or not you are new to upstate New York or you have been here all your life, you definitely need to try some Apple Picking! Apples are part of the natural produce to New York State and apple picking is a great fall tradition!

Date: Saturday, October 17

Time: 10am

Location: Rockefeller College Parking Lot, then to an apple orchard!

Whether you are an apple picking novice or a pro, we hope you can join us for this fun outing of picking apples, enjoying hot apple cider donuts and general outdoor fun.

Join us Saturday morning at 10 AM in the parking lot at Rockefeller. We will arrange carpools. If you do not own a vehicle no worries and we ask that if you do, please consider driving. It is not a long distance (we are fortunate to have so many great orchards near us!) Dress according. We will be trampling through fields to get those delicious apples!

Sports Day in Washington Park

Come on out to Washington Park in Albany for an afternoon of sports and fun!

Date: Saturday, October 3rd

Time: 12pm-3pm

There will be games, pizza, and sports. PASA will provide pizza and drinks, but please bring snacks and desserts. Please feel free to bring your friends and family for a fun afternoon in the park.

Worried about your athletic ability? Don't be! All you need is a sense of fun and some sneakers.

Our Games include: Water Balloon Toss, Three-legged Race, Spoon & Egg Race,
Crabwalk Race, Wheelbarrow Race

The 'Sports' Line-up: Kickball, Dodgeball, Badminton

Fall 2009 ASPA Networking Event

Part of the experience at Rockefeller College is networking! The Empire Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration is holding a networking event at Elda's on Lark on Friday, October 2nd.

At this event, you can meeting public administration professionals and some of your fellow students. Come check it out!

Welcome to the new Public Affairs Student Association blog! This blog has been created to provide students at the Nelson Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the University at Albany with information about networking events and other activities around the Capital Region!

PASA is a student-run organization that sponsors events and activities for the students at Rockefeller College. These events are meant to encourage Rockefeller College students to interact and get to know the Capital Region.
